Once again, Lane Fire Prevention Cooperative, as well as KEZI and local sponsors are joining forces to promote an innovative, educational fire safety program for elementary school children in grades 1st through 5th called "FIREBUSTERS." The basis of the FIREBUSTERS program is a five-part news series which will air May 23rd – May 27th, 2015 on KEZI 9 News (Comcast channel 9, HD 709) at two different air times; 6:30a.m. and 6:30 p.m.. Each day, KEZI will focus on one of five safety subjects with segments designed for grade school children. Worksheets can be downloaded at or or picked up at Goshen Fire District Administrative Offices (85880 First Street, Eugene OR). Watch KEZI and follow along with the worksheet.

Parents play an important role in the success of this program. We strongly encourage parents to watch this fire safety program with their children and discuss these life safety skills. If a family is unable to see the local news, they can go to and simply discuss and answer the questions on their own. Our sponsors have great incentive prizes for your kids to learn these valuable life safety lessons.
